Animation!!

heh, so I realize I'm behind posting here, and I apologize. I also realize that while my bio says I'm an Animation student - I haven't posted any of my animated scenes/films up here at all this year, sooooo...

have an animation dump! 8D

1st major project - 2 seconds (with a change of attitude/expression, looks both ways, and must fully enter then exit the frame)

This one I ended up calling Snow Fun:

2nd major project was our Midterm, the Dialogue Scene. 8 - 10 seconds using pre-recorded dialogue with a change of emotion. I used a clip from Shawn of the Dead, and used my original character Cliff (but dressed him up in the same attire as in the movie) I've uploaded the updated version to Vimeo, because I had fixed the ending where he doesn't just smash into a pose - though I'll reupload a higher resolution next week when I have access to Flipbook.

Cliff Explaining the Zombie Smashing from Rayn Lenski on Vimeo.

and finally
(no pun intended- aw what am I saying? this is animation, puns are always intended)
our Final, the 30 second film. You had to tell a definitive story - dialogue was not needed but sound/sound effects were, it had to be no more and no less than 30 seconds of full animation (shot on either 1's or 2's, no holds) but that didn't include tittle cards/end credits, tied-down (the action and character had to be readable with all features added)
Clean-up and Color are not required for this - but, if I have time this summer, I'd like to play around with one of the scenes, if only to get my feet wet an prepare for my Senior film next semester/year.

And so I present, Looth Toof, featuring Anne and Grendel (who some of you may recognize if you've followed me awhile)

and there we have it!

I'm hoping to do some test animation with my characters in my senior film - just to figure out how they move - but as I don't have a downshooter just yet, I'm probably going to test digitally first (which is a bit backwards for me, but hey, at least it'll keep me animating this summer)

thanks for dropping by! hope these brought a smile to your face :)
